I received this item as part of a promotion from GE Monogram, as a companion to a GE Monogram Dual Fuel 30 Range. These two items replace an aging downdraft range, and are just lovely additions to my kitchen. The entire unit came in a sturdy box with excellent packaging to protect the unit. The stainless and workmanship are excellent. Functionally, the unit works well, and pulls steam and odors from the cooktop. The 4 speed fan is quiet and can be timed to turn off after 5, 10 or 20 minutes. The dimmable and multi level lights offer a nice ambiance when cooking. For now, I am using the recirculating option that works quite well, but eventually will vent it to the outside. For now, however, it vents through the stack and the exhaust exits near the ceiling as cool air. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality, worksmanship and functionality of the hood.
