The timer tone is cute and cheerful. I havenÕt been able to burn dinner yet... but it isnÕt loud enough when football is on TV. My cast iron pan is too large for the surface. The controls are in the way of it being centered on the heating element. I wish the controls were more compact.

I finally had the stove installed after several glitches. My 24 yr old GE slide-in was hardwired and the back was different from the new one so it was a frustrating experience. But I am happy to say I am completely thrilled with the new one. The power boil and dual service units are a great feature. So far I havenÕt baked - just did stovetop cooking. Quality product. My 24 yr old stove was still working well but moved to basement location. . Hoping I get the same reliability with the new one.
